Ireland Under 16 Squad Selected

Great news for Waterford soccer once again this week with the call up of two locals lads to the Irish Under 16 squad. Well done to Chris Hoban (Ferrybank) and Eddie Nolan (Bohs) who will be competing in the Under 16 International Tournament of the Council Idanha-A-Nova in Portugal.

The tournament takes place over a week and the team will face the host’s Portugal and also Turkey and Russia. This will be a fantastic trip for the lad’s and no doubt they will be looking forward too it. We would like to wish them the very best of luck.

Munster Under-14 Final - Kerry 2-0 Waterford

Kerry came out on top here in this Munster final. We gave it a shot but we under performed on the day. Fair dues though to Kerry who put on a very good performance. We now move on however to a quarter final match in the All Ireland series where we will face the runners up of the Leinster section. No doubt the lad’s will be working hard again in preparation for this game. Best of luck to all involved!!
