Factfile:	After a brief stint with Aston Villa, Alan returned home to line out for the club his father played for, Waterford. Alan put in some stunning performances for the blues but unfortunately for Waterford the call of Premier division football proved too irresistible for Alan and he joined Longford Town. Alan won a bronze medal with Ireland from the Under 20 World Cup in Malaysia.
